Privacy policy
How Sitraa handles your data. Plain English, no jargon. Last updated June 2026.
What we collect
When you use the policy check tool we ask for your first name, email, and optionally your date of birth — to send you your breakdown and keep you updated on Sitraa's launch.

PDF uploads
Uploaded PDFs are never stored. If you upload a policy document, it is sent to Anthropic (our AI provider) to generate your breakdown and then immediately discarded. We do not retain your PDF or its contents on Sitraa's systems at any point.
Anthropic retains API request data for up to 30 days for trust and safety monitoring, then deletes it. They do not use API data to train models. Full policy: anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
Your breakdown email
If you provide your email at the start of the policy check, we send you a copy of your results. This is sent via Brevo, our transactional email platform. The breakdown is formatted server-side and sent — we do not store the full analysis text after it is sent.
Waitlist
Your name and email are stored in Brevo and added to the Sitraa Waitlist. We use this only to contact you when there is something real to share — not weekly marketing. You can be removed at any time: hello@sitraa.co.uk.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to know what we hold, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to complain to the ICO if you are not satisfied. Email us first — we resolve things directly.
What this tool is
Sitraa is in development and not yet a regulated insurance provider. The policy-check tool is educational — not financial advice, a religious ruling, or a recommendation to change your cover. Consult a qualified adviser for personal decisions.
